What is this film about?

Screen Shot 2015-10-22 at 10.32.46 AMMore than words can tell us signs. Sometimes people do not pay attention to them. However, these little things can say about the characters more than monologues.

“Sign Language” is touching a story about Ben who has quite unusual and old profession – ”board guy”. The movie shows Ben’s last day at the job. He was not alone in its business. Every day Chris, Harry, Steve and Alex shared The Oxford Street with him and as a girl called Ania.

The girl started to distribute flyers on The Oxford Street no so long ago, and Ben wants to help her. Unfortunately, can’t muster up courage to talk with her. At his job Ben starts better understand people, life and relationships. Probably, because he has a lot of free time for thinking. The longer his monologue so we understand more clearly what he is talking about Ania. He’s well aware of the theory, but he is afraid to practice.

It will be a surprise for Ben, but his friend have something special. They used signs to send the message to Ben: ”BYE BYE BEN”, ”WE’LL MISS YOU”, ”BUT BEFORE YOU GO…” and finally ”JUST TALK TO HER”. It is literally “Sign Language”. Dazed he eventually go to her.

I realised that sometimes we don’t need words because signs may tell us more. At this story Ben’s colleagues knew him better than he thinks. I can call them as Ben’s friends, notwithstanding, they didn’t talk a lot. Overcoming fear Ben teach us be positive, open to people and of course, pay attention to signs.
